Online casino games provider Habanero has recently ventured into a new regulated market as part of its growth strategy to increase its footprint internationally.
Under a content supply deal with Casino Solverde, Habanero has been able to tap into Portugal’s online gambling market.
Casino Solverde is the online gaming arm of Portuguese hotel and casino group SOLVERDE. Founded more than four decades ago, the company operates five casinos and four hotels around Portugal. As for Casino Solverde, it is known to be one of the largest digital casino operators to be servicing gambling customers on the territory of Portugal.
Under the terms of a recently signed partnership, Habanero has provided Casino Solverde with access to its portfolio of locally certified slots, including Wild Trucks, Mount Mazuma, and festive season favorite Santa’s Village.
Habanero was established in 2010 and quickly gained traction in the highly competitive online gaming supplier market to become one of the most rapidly growing content providers. Its games library currently includes 103 online slots, 13 table games, and 10 video poker releases. Habanero’s partner operators are also provided with access to a set of marketing tools to boost acquisition and retention rates, including a trademarked jackpot system.
The provider’s games suite is offered in 28 languages and a wide variety of currencies, including crypto. Aside from Portugal, Habanero is certified to provide its content in 15 other markets, including Italy, the UK, Malta, Spain, and Sweden.
Capping a Record-Breaking Year
The launch of its content in Portugal wraps a record-breaking year for the casino content studio that saw it expand its footprint across multiple new jurisdictions and regulated markets and clinch important commercial deals.
In the past several months, Habanero announced partnerships with Italian gambling operators Sisal and Betflag to cement its foothold in Italy and added its games portfolio to Playtech’s Open Platform.

Of their Portuguese entry, Habanero’s European Head of Business Development, Arcangelo Lonoce, said that signing with a “highly-respected operator such as Casino Solverde” demonstrates the success of their growth strategy that focuses on the creation of “immersive casino content, well-suited to a variety of players.”
Américo Loureiro, Director at Solverde, praised Habanero for its “proven track-record of producing innovative slot and table games” and added that they have no doubts that the studio’s content will prove a hit among their players.
Casino Solverde’s parent company is licensed to operate land-based casinos around Portugal. In September 2017, the company was issued the 10th online gambling license under the country’s new gambling regime, which took effect in 2015. The license authorized Casino Solverde to provide online casino games including slots and table games.
